Purpose of the Job:

To support children in Nursery and complete level 2 EYFS training

Main duties and responsibilities (Accountabilities):

The successful candidate will:

Value all pupils as individuals and put them at the heart of everything you do. Ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others. Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development. Be enthusiastic and creative. Be ambitious, innovative and inspirational. Have a warm and encouraging manner. Have a secure understanding of child development. The ability to form and maintain suitable relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people The strength to work with challenging behaviours Assisting and meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual children – Changing nappies, caring and establishing a relationship with children Complete the academic aspects of the apprenticeship from our chosen provider

In addition all members of the school community are expected to:

Display a commitment to child protection and safeguarding. Report to the headteacher any behaviour by colleagues, parents and children which raises concern. Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

The duties / responsibilities of this post may vary from time to time according to the changing needs of the children and the school.
