Responsibilities

  • Providing1:1 support to students withadditional learning needs ensuring they are fully engaged inlessons and able to access thecurriculum.
  • Assisting the classteacher in delivering tailored interventionsadapting materials and resources to suit the individual needs ofstudents.
  • Supporting students in theirsocial development helping them buildconfidence friendships and positive behavior in the classroom andplayground.
  • Working closely with the schoolsSEN team and external specialists tomonitor and assess students progress contributing to individualizededucation plans (IEPs).
  • Maintaining a positiveand encouraging relationship with students helping them to feelsafe and supported in their learningjourney.

Experience andQualifications

  • Previousexperience as a Learning Support Assistant(LSA) or in a similar role supporting children withadditional needs is preferred.
  • A passion forinclusive education and supportingchildren with learning challenges.
  • Strongcommunication andinterpersonal skills with the abilityto work effectively with students staff andparents.
  • A patient empathetic andpositive attitude towards supportingchildrens individual learningneeds.
  • A clear DBScheck
  • Legal right to work withintheUK
