IBA Plant & Landfill Foreman
Hourly Rate – £18.00 per hour (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week, 8am to 4pm

As the Forman, you will be responsible for the maintenance and condition of all plant on site, the minimisation of impact to the environment whilst operating the IBA Plant, delivering customer expectations in terms of service and product quality, and operating the IBA plant in an efficient and effective manner in line with the annual budget and manufacturers specifications
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week Monday to Friday however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
•Control the landfill disposal operations to ensure the achievement of budgeted revenue, operating profit and cash targets.
•To maximise the use of void by optimizing metals recovery and sales of aggregates.
•To agree format of tipping with the Operations Manager & Regional Engineer and take responsibility for tipping to correct profile.
•Assist SBM in the development of phasing plans for the movement of the IBA plant to aid the completion of the current cell and to increase the size of the work area.
•To ensure adequate dust control on Whisby.
•To ensure that operational activities and maintenance are carried out within budgeted levels of expenditure whilst achieving minimum downtime of plant vehicles.
•To control the repair and maintenance procedures of equipment on-site including the sourcing of spares, maintenance programming and expenditure consistent with cost effective and efficient operations.
•To be fully aware of planning consents and waste disposal permits relating to the Site and ensure they are not breached.
• To be aware of customers' needs on Site in achieving best practice vehicle times without damage.
•CMS
•Basic computer skills and administrative experience.
•Man-management skills/experience.
•Experience in the waste industry (or similar) an advantage.
•Mobile Plant Experience (Wheeled Loading Shovels, Dozers & Excavators etc)
