We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hackney, Greater London. This is a temporary position, with full-time hours expected. As a 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will primarily work in the education and training industry, providing support to students who require additional assistance. This would be a full time position starting from September

Job Duties:
  • Providing 1:1 interventions to students, offering support in various subjects such as literacy, numeracy, reading and writing.
  • Assisting students with special educational needs (SEN) and providing behavioural support when necessary.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans.
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
  • Creating engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance students' educational experience.
  • Supporting students with social and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies and ensuring the well-being and safety of students at all times.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification.
Education:

A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is required for this role.

Experience:

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable. Experience working with SEN would also be hugely beneficial for this position

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in delivering 1:1 interventions to students.
  • A strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural support techniques.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to effectively support students in their reading and writing development.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional relevant qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This is a temporary position, and you will be expected to work full-time hours. The role will be based in Hackney, Greater London, England. As a 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students and other professionals in an educational setting.

Salary: £85.00 - £95.00 per day (PAYE)
