Brokerage Specialist – Metal

Responsibilities

: Delivering a seamless onboarding experience for all Scrap Metal and Skip services, including timely delivery of equipment  Successful execution of any equipment uplift requests from customers. Proactive contact to the existing Scrap Metal customer base to drive revenue growth. Responsible for updating and maintaining contract information on internal systems. Producing reports detailing the receptacles and services delivered to the customer.  Responsible for establishing and maintaining all Scrap Metal and Skip partner relationships. Identify and develop new Scrap Metal and Skip partner service lines and relationships.  Responsible for managing service performance to satisfy customer requirements. Attend partner review meetings where appropriate.  Engage and communicate efficiently with Customers and Stakeholders as necessary in executing partner requirements. Develop and maintain performance metrics/ KPIs, capabilities and associated reporting to monitor and measure the performance of all Scrap Metal and Skip services. Proactively distribute workload across the partner network to maximise performance and minimise costs. Annual review and presentation of performance for Scrap Metal and Skip partners to the wider business as part of a strategic appraisal of each partner. Support the brokerage manager in any follow-up actions with the partner that may arise from the review.

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively and to plan and manage own agenda. Highly focused on delivering results and objectives with a strong personal commitment to supporting the business in achieving its goals in a changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation and documentation skills. Excellent attention to detail. Analytical and logical in approach with the ability to analyse data and formulate action plans. Strong relationship building skills and be a confident networker. Ability to engage and influence the right organisational resources and behaviours to effectively identify, mitigate and resolve partner issues. Positive and motivated with a flexible and adaptable attitude. Good conflict resolution skills based on a ‘can do’ attitude. Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and adopt a professional approach in all interactions – should be transparent, open, and honest in all dealings. Must have a proactive and safety focused approach. Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel. Extensive experience in the Scrap Metal sector Extensive experience in a customer focussed delivery role.  Proven track record in successful implementation of new scrap metal waste services
