This role is part time working of 1 x 4 hour session a month at HMP Hollesley Bay and 1 x 4 hour session a month at HMP Warren Hill, both based in Woodbridge, Suffolk. There is no on-call or weekend work to allow for a strong work life balance

You will be part of a forward thinking, innovative health care team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will be closely supported and mentored by our Clinical Lead, and this combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, you will be provided with an excellent supportive learning environment.

Main duties of the job

This role requires the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the offender healthcare setting who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, and to determine clinical diagnosis and clinical treatment indicated, and to maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

With this in mind, you will be HCPC registered with post registration experience assessing and treating a range of conditions including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies and nail surgery. You will also be self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Job responsibilities

As a Podiatrist working with Practice PlusGroup you will:

Provide outstanding evidence based care, listening andacting on patient feedback so that care is personalised and informed by whatmatters to patients focusing on both planned and unplanned care.

Deliver non-judgementalcare, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation andevaluation of the patients care following our policies, procedures and alwaysconsidering safeguarding.

Inspire excellence in yourcolleagues by being pro-active in the management of foot, ankle and lowerextremity conditions and motivating the wider team to identify patients at highrisk. You will forge strong workingrelationships with the Practice Plus Group healthcare team and the wider Healthin Justice service.

Promote best practice, evidence based care andcontinuous quality improvement embedding a culture of reflection and sharedlearning.

Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safecare supporting your clinical and non-clinical colleagues to do a great job.

Be responsible for your own caseload andwaiting list and be able to work as an autonomous practitioner.
