Position:Early Years Practitioner Level 3+
Hours: Perm / Mon-Fri / 40 hours
Salary:From £25,200 per annum
 

We have a very exciting opportunity for full time, qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our Bright Horizons Bishops Stortford Day Nursery and Preschool, ready for its grand opening in 2024.

The nursery will be a stunning 108 place setting in a beautiful purpose built setting which will feature spacious rooms and garden areas, perfect for plenty of outdoor teaching and learning It has great public transport links, as well as some onsite parking.

We have several other Bright Horizons settings in close proximity, meaning you will be able to join us before the nursery opens if you would like to, and work in another setting until the opening.

What you’ll be doing

Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.

Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships

Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding

Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)

Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)

Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child

Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents

Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
