The Content Writer will create compelling and creative brand content. Working alongside the creative team, reporting to the Content Lead you will become knowledgeable about the role YHA plays across multiple marketplaces from domestic and international travel, educational and group residentials as well as our fundraising aims and objectives. You’ll inject a sense of fun and adventure to the YHA brand and a greater understanding for our audience in who we are as a charity and the role we play in making adventure accessible to all.

The role can be flexible with a mixture of working from home and office based depending on your preference. The ability to travel across the network would be beneficial. A love of the outdoors and the benefits it brings would help with understanding our mission in bringing adventure to all and our role in making it happen.

What we’re looking for:

  • A recent graduate or someone with experience in writing compelling and interesting content preferably within a marketing or communications environment.
  • A passion for storytelling, content creation and execution, with a solid grasp of the English language, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Preferable to have experience in writing within a brand framework and a consistent tone of voice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to a range of audiences in a clear and confident manner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-moving and continuously changing environment.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to manage workload effectively.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
