Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the friendly, busy physiotherapy outpatient service, at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital, and Helston Community Hospital as a member of Admin and Clerical team.

This job will be across both sites depending on service needs.

We are a team of physiotherapists who accept and manage referrals from consultants, GPs, other healthcare professionals and self referral. The main role is to provide administrative cover to a busy outpatient physiotherapy departments along with some patient facing reception duties.

The role involves organising clinics, booking and rearranging appointments, sending appointment letters, making and receiving telephone calls and emails to organise appointments, ordering of equipment and office supplies.

You will need to be computer literate. You will be required to work using your own initiative within a busy team, with the ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently. You must be able to communicate well and have an adaptable and flexible attitude to your work.

Full and Part time hours, or job share would be considered.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for day-to-day administration and clerical support, booking patient appointments and managing clinical diaries. Face to face reception duties for MSK Physiotherapy. Carry out data entry to support the clinical team. Input all data on Rio, registration, activity and triage codes. Photocopying, faxing, scanning, laminating, emailing and shredding.

Good general education including GSCE English or equivalent RSA II Typing/ Word processing CLAIT level 2 or equivalent NVQ 2 Administration or equivalent

Proven use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Proven experience of working in a busy office /department Good written and verbal communication skills Able to work in a pressured work setting Experience in the use of Email and Internet
