The Opportunity 

With the continued expansion of our Advisory business, we are looking to growth our P&P team and are looking for an individual who will be responsible for project schedule management across a wide and varied portfolio of projects.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of transformational projects in the built environment from major transportation and water projects to energy projects critical to the UKs net-zero plans.The role will involve delivering projects for major energy sector companies including SSE, SGN, Scottish Power and major wind farm developers.

The North region with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle and Stockton is engaged with the wider Arup network, delivering projects in a diverse range of market sectors.The individual will be closely networked with Arup’s national P&P teams and will have access to a breadth and depth of specialist project planning expertise.As a project planner you will be connected with a wider discipline team of planners in the UK and have the opportunity to work on major projects across the UK.

The successful individual will support consulting and advisory services for public and private sector clients across the energy market, with a particular focus on Project Controls Management supporting the following areas: Programme development and management (prior Primavera P6 experience is desirable), Progress reporting, Cost control, Change Control, Resource and cost management & Project status reporting.

You also will Support as appropriate on a range of business development activities including preparation of tender submissions and strategy development.

We are keen to speak to individuals that have:

A project controls / planning background within the infrastructure / energy sectors along with Primavera P6 experience.Worked on projects through design stages along with managing cost, schedule & progress reporting. A Degree in a related engineering, project management or other subjectAchieved Chartership or are working towards chartership from a recognised institution.
