Thisaccountancy practice is a modern firm that is continuously drivingthemselves forward and have their clients long term best interestsat the heart their business. They are a hardworking business thatlooks after their staff and rewards them accordingly for theirwork. They provide general accountancy practice services to theirclients who range from start up businesses through to large groupswith turnovers in excess of 35m. Their services typically consistof accounts management accounts audit bookkeeping tax VAT CIS andpayroll.
Asan Accounts Senior you will have a hands onrolepreparing accounts tax and general accountancy practiceresponsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traderspartnerships and limited companies SMEs and OMBs. There is scope todo audit work should you wish. Clients are varied across industryand turnover ranging from simple tax returns through tomultimillionpound groups requiring advisory work. The practice isundergoing continued positive growth and therefore this vacancyprovides genuine progression and development potential and a chanceto progresstruly.
Responsibilitiesinclude:
  • Leadclient accounts engagements (planning directing and completion)
  • Supervisejuniors
  • Researchand analyse financial statements Produce statutory accounts anddraft taxcomputations
  • Monitorthe progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met.
  • Draftclient letters and bills
  • Proactivelyinteract with key clients management to gather information resolveproblems and make recommendations for business and processimprovements.


RequirementsEssentialskills andexperience:
  • ACA/ACCAqualified with a demonstrable track record of accounts experiencein an accountancypractice
  • Excellenttechnical knowledge of accounting standards corporation tax VAT andP11Ds
  • Abilityto perform to a high technical and professionalstandard
Desirable:
  • Workingknowledge of Caseware Sage Quickbooks Xero Alphatax andCCH.
