About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant secondary school in Bordon starting September 2024. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role is initially for a longer-term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students across a range of subjects, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
  • Assist in the development of engaging lesson plans and learning activities in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Support students with varying levels of attainment, including those with special educational needs.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to both teachers and parents.
  • Encourage and promote students' social and emotional development alongside their academic growth.

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting the development of young learners.
  • Experience working with secondary school students, particularly in a support role, is advantageous.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the safety and well-being of all students, adhering to safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in a similar role.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • A thorough understanding of the Safer in Education guidelines, with all necessary checks completed prior to the start date.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
