We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Direct Procurement Team here at Williams Racing. In this position, you will be responsible for processing purchase orders for the supply of goods and services relating directly to our Formula 1 car, ensuring any engineering specifications, processes or engineering up issues are fully communicated, and that the purchase requirement is appropriately authorised. As a Senior Buyer you will provide expertise and leadership to the business, supporting the team to deliver best value procurement to time, cost and quality imperatives.

As a Senior Buyer, your key Responsibilities will be to:

Take ownership for the procurement of parts relating to a specific region of the car.

Generate Purchase Orders, expedite and progress deliveries from Suppliers & maintain timely reporting of delivery status of parts outstanding, routinely feeding back status into internal stakeholders.

Manage a portfolio of suppliers focusing on both tactical and strategic development.

Optimise total value being delivered to the race team- on time and to the required quality standard.

Negotiate contracts with suppliers that provide best value to the business and robustness within the supply chain.

Rationalise and develop the supply base.

Provide procurement leadership to internal stakeholders, using experience and influencing skills where needed.

We are looking for a Senior Buyer with the following skills and experience:

Previous experience of Procurement and Supply Chain Management is essential.

Strong technical background and knowledge, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, and communicate efficiently with design and other stakeholders both internally and externally.

Previous experience within a fast-paced environment, preferably in an Engineering of Manufacturing sector.

Self-motivated, innovative and with the ability to work unsupervised to challenging deadliness.

Demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.

Excellent Communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP system would be advantageous.
