Job summary

The Urology Specialist Nursing team has an exciting opportunity to recruit a motivated & enthusiastic individual to the role of Urology Nurse Specialist.

Activities will include assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), urodynamic studies and the management of common bladder conditions. You will join our highly motivated, friendly and supportive specialist nursing team to deliver effective, timely and person-centred care for patients referred to urology with LUTS and continence issues.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate should have an interest in urology and be an efficient and effective communicator with all staff, patients, and visitors. They will be supported to develop their knowledge and skills under the direction of the Urology Lead Nurse and in conjunction with the Urology Consultants and existing Urology Specialist Nurses. They should also be able to identify and respond to patient queries and issues in a sensitive and competent manner. Some experience (or understanding) of urological and continence nursing is desirable but a keen willingness to learn is essential.

We look forward to receiving your application.
