What does the role involve? We need a Corporate Solicitor to join our growing Corporate Team, based in our Cambridge office. You will undertake a broad mix of corporate work including M&A, corporate finance, equity capital markets, private equity, joint ventures and general corporate advisory work. You will advise clients ranging from start-ups through to substantial private companies and PLCs on a broad range of corporate issues and transactions and much of your work will have an international aspect. Depending on experience, you will either support partners and other members of the team, or you will work on your own matters largely unsupervised.  What experience is required? You will be an associate of 1+ years' qualified with relevant experience. You will have a good background in transactional work. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and an interest in business development.  What skills and attributes would I need?
  • Good academics 
  • Experience of transactional work 
  • Evidence of understanding what is needed to help grow and develop a corporate practice 
  • Willingness to initiate and participate in marketing and business development activities 
  • Technically strong 
  • Excellent drafting and verbal/written communication skills

Who will I be working with? You will be joining an 8 partner team in Cambridge, working alongside   Tom Pickthorn ,   Stephen Hamilton and   Dona Ardeman , to name a few. You will also work with members of the wider corporate team nationally, which has 24 partners.
