Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? GSL Education Southampton  are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Havant.

As a Learning Support Assistant , you will play a key role in ensuring students with additional learning needs receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom.

Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting individual student needs.
  • Provide one-to-one support for students with learning difficulties.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in school activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Requirements for Learning Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role (preferred).
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to working with students of varying abilities.
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in education.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
