Job Description:

Join us as a Mechanical Specialist where you will Responsible for the completion of the maintenance engineering activities related to the Woodsmith Project and the Maintenance Readiness elements. 

Your duties will include: 

Providing technical support to the Design Documentation review process with consideration to Maintenance and Maintainability aspects.  To Collaborate with and coordinate Anglo American Group resources to assist with the documentation review process.  Attend and contribute to the Maintainability elements of the asset design review sessions.  Attend and contribute to the Maintenance strategy and Risk Based Maintenance (RCM, FMEA etc) programs.  Manage elements and support the completion of the Maintenance Readiness elements in alignment with the project plan.  Assess project outputs for compliance with the Anglo American AS&R Framework and other applicable standards. Provide guidance and participate in new equipment specifications.  Support Information Management (IM) in the development and implementation of the maintenance related systems including CMMS.  Lead and/or support Maintenance related Handover activities including asset acceptance, assurance and verification scopes. 

For Anglo American Operational Plant and Life of Mine assets: 

Provide technical support to Maintenance teams for asset issues and defining complex repair scopes.  Manage small continuous improvement projects relating to Asset Management. Carry out auditing and assurance of information and activities supporting our Maintenance strategy.  Lead and support Root Cause Analysis investigations (as required).  Qualifications: Good level of experience in Asset or Maintenance Engineering, in a heavy industry operational environment.  Appropriate Engineering post graduate qualification or equivalent experience with a technical certification. 

Maintenance Support 

Skilled in work preparation and scoping techniques (within discipline).  Skilled in work team supervision in relation to maintenance work execution activities.  Knowledge of Asset/Equipment design and operational requirements (within discipline).  Knowledge of operational processes within scope of role. Awareness of Condition Monitoring Techniques and Total Fluids Management. 

Project Management 

Skilled in basic project management processes. Skilled in Continuous Improvement processes is advantageous. 

Compliance 

Knowledge and application of Mines Regulations is advantageous. Skilled in application of Equipment standards (within discipline) is advantageous. 

Commercial

Knowledge of managing supplier contracts within discipline.
