Position: Design and Technology Teacher

Contract type: Full-time, temp-perm

An Ofsted graded ‘good’ secondary school in Preston are looking to appoint a full-time Design and Technology Teacher from October 2024. This post is initially on a supply contract, however if the senior leadership believes that the educator is suitable, there is potential for a permanent school contract.

The successful Design and Technology Teacher will be expected to teach up to KS4 GCSE, and will have prior experience doing so. Ideally, the school are seeking someone with excellent behaviour and classroom management skills, and someone who can engage the pupils by creating differentiated lessons and activities that are inclusive for all pupils. If you are able to display a proven track record of excellence, this would be a benefit.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Teaching KS3/KS4 Design and Technology
• Planning, marking and preparing
• Liaising with other members of staff, to discuss pupils progress and behaviour
• The possibility of attending meetings e.g., parents evenings, CPD, staff briefings etc.
• Improving and encouraging pupil attendance, punctuality and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
