About the Role

Are you a Qualified Primary Teacher?

Connex Education are working with primary schools in Swadlincote and surrounding areas that may need supply, temporary cover on a daily/weekly/termly basis. This can be covering in EYFS, this may be in Nursery or Reception classes. This will be given upon assignment.

Whilst covering in either a Nursery or Reception class you would be expected to take on the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality sessions, these are usually pre-planned but you will be informed if you require your own lesson plans
  • Support children at snack time
  • Engage with children in indoor and outdoor provisions
  • Maintain Safeguarding standards
  • Deploy support staff if required

Pay scale is dependent on experience and level of qualification.

Person Specification

  • Have a teaching qualification (BA/PGCE)
  • You MUST hold UK QTS
  • Experience in schools in the UK
  • Be confident in working with potentially challenging behaviour
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
