About the role
The Credit Controller is responsible for a specific region or market to chase outstanding debts from customers in line with the Global Credit Policy. To control accounts receivable ledger and proactively analyse market to reduce risks.
What you’ll do in the role
Cash Collection:
Contact customers to speed-up collection and achieve related targets Generate monthly statements and dunning letters Define monthly collection target together with manager Prepare clean remittance advice for cash application for each paymentRisk prevention:
Analyse new and active customers’ situation to prevent and reduce credit risk Set-up and maintain customer credit limits Manage credit holds for overdue accounts Establish credit insurance where appropriateReporting and others:
In collaboration with the Sales teams, manage the clearing of Debit Memos relating to customer deductions, ensuring their validity and follow up daily invoice. Submit monthly bad debt provision calculations and make recommendation. Prepare and maintain accruals liaising with GL, based on agreed customer’ conditions (2 pager) Prepare regular reports on Aging, DSO and open items in AR balance. Give support on AR Month-End closing related duties and provide all necessary data to GL ( bank reconciliation)What will help you do the job well
Essential:
1-2 years experience in a similar role ideal
Good knowledge of general accounting
Sage / Oracle Finance module or another ERP knowledge
Excitement about joining a midsize yet growing company with fast-growing brands
