Weare looking to recruit a talented Associate Structural Engineer tojoin our growing structural team in the Midlands region.Where as a critical part of our team you will Lead anEngineering cost centre(s).

Withproject costs up to 12m and the use of the latest design softwarethe role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactfulhighvalue projects. A competitive salary up will be offeredcommensurate with the importance of this role within ourcompany.

We have opportunities available in ourNuneaton covering the Midlands area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee our team of structural engineers forour Midlands region providing support wherenecessary
  • Use the latest design software tocreate and manage designs.
  • Liaise with keyclients and discuss design/technical solutions with team membersand stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects areappropriately resourced delegating work to team members programmingdeliverables and monitoring progress.
  • Providesupport and guidance to junior staff fostering their developmentand progression
  • Implement company policies andensure adherence across your team
  • Monitor andoversee project budgets and staff resources for projectsundertaken
  • Develop existing customerrelationships and promote JMSs services
  • Assistin achieving targeted revenues from current and newcustomers

Qualifications:

We are looking for an ambitious selfmotivated and drivenexperienced Associate Structural Engineer able to meet thefollowing criteria:

  • Degree qualifiedin Structural Engineering or relateddiscipline
  • Must have Chartered Engineer status(CEng)
  • Minimum of 7 years of professionalexperience in structuralengineering
  • Demonstrable record of involvementin the design of highways and infrastructureprojects
  • Proven track record of cost estimationand project management.
  • Understanding of theuse of design tools within a BIMenvironment
  • Use of industry design standardsi.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG SSGetc.
  • Problem solver able to offer solutions tochallenges
  • Able to work and collaborate as partof a multidisciplinary team
  • Confidentarticulate collaborative &proactive
  • Eagerness to learn and to developyour skills and career with training support
