Exciting Opportunity for a Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our busy Compressors team based in our Renfrew site.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support production by maintaining the safe and efficient running of machine tools and ancillary equipment through Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repair. You will support this effort by aiming to identify and rectify root causes of machine problems and support the business in general by helping to maintain a safe and efficient workplace through general site maintenance.

What Needs To Be Done?
 

Carry out the maintenance and repair of machine tools and ancillary equipment as required by breakdown situations, PPM routines, company Standard Practice Instructions and departmental needs to ensure best uptime of machine tools.Maintain audit and machining history requirement by ensuring appropriate Maintenance Dept. documents are completed.Identify and rectify root causes of machine problems using the technical information available in machine manuals, drawings and back-up from machine manufacturers’ service department to ensure best uptime.Interact and respond to all aspects of Lean Manufacture supporting cost reduction, efficiency, delivery and Quality improvements.Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards in compliance with Company policy to ensure safe working environment.Time-served Electrical Engineer with mechanical experience orMechanical Engineer with electrical experience working on CNC and conventional machine tools.Proven CNC fault-finding and repair experience, Mag, Millturn, Holroyd, ToyodaProven problem-solving and ability to work unsupervised.Good communication skillsFork lift licenceLifting & slinging certificationFlexibilityExperience of working in a similar environmentGeneral Environmental Health and Safety awareness
