Finance Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full time 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Finance Manager, you'll be working within the contract management team, supporting them to prepare monthly management accounts and timely management information to support decision making driving contract efficiencies.

Your day to day will include:

• Providing strategic financial information and leadership at contract level
• Delivering comprehensive, high-quality analysis to aid and support business decision making, ensuring appropriate systems of internal control are maintained and development of and adherence to company procedures
• Supporting the contract management team in the production of monthly management accounts and other financial information to Kier Transportation and shareholder deadlines, developing and realising growth opportunities, preparation and completion of management accounts for the contracts (P&L / BS & cash flow)
• Variance analysis of contract results on a monthly basis for the management board, assisting the commercial team to ensure maximisation of client recoveries, generating and analysing monthly CVR reviews ensuring true position is understood
• Managing cash recovery from the client through monthly applications and third-party invoicing, as well as any debt management when required, supporting the Commercial team with proactive engagement in the management of key contract balances including WIP, payments on account and cost accruals

What are we looking for?

This role of Finance Manager is great for you if:

• You are CIMA, ACCA, ACA or AAT qualified, we would consider newly qualified or part qualified with the right level of experience
• Have a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems with analytical, creative, and proactive thinking and can confidently communicate across  a range of stakeholder levels
• Hold a full driving licence
