Purpose of role

As a Sales Advisor, you are responsible to give a welcoming and inspirational service to all of your customers.

Your contribution will actively drive sales through your direct customer service and style advice as well as performing operational tasks.

Your product and service knowledge will create an easy-to-shop and ‘WOW’ store environment.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet and strike up conversations with the customers, aiming to give them a friendly, easy, and inspiring shopping experience
  • Share relevant and detailed product information, such as fabric types, washing instructions, the garment fits, etc 
  • Promote loss prevention and safety through customer service and established & Other Stories policies and procedures in partnership with store leadership (management) team

Operations

  • Ability to complete the full garment cycle, from unpacking to steaming, to maximize selling opportunities 
  • Handle customer transactions and questions at the till in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Replenish all departments consistently throughout the day to ensure full inventory on the shop floor
  • Upkeep & Other Stories logistic standards and overall cleanliness of stockrooms and back stocked merchandise
  • Maintain & Other Stories´ shop floor standards by ensuring product care are met daily
  • Support with the execution of reductions, transfers, and campaign set-ups according to our guidelines
  • Follow our values, policies, and procedures as outlined in the company handbook

Team player

  • Partner with team members to ensure customers receive the best customer service in a friendly shopping environment
  • Responsible for keeping shop floor and stockrooms clean, well maintained, and handed over per our standards
  • Willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations
  • Assist in training new team members with a high level of customer service focus
  • Be straightforward and open-minded, including when receiving and sharing feedback

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to recognize and execute selling opportunities
  • Ability and willingness to run a cash register
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for fashion, design trends, and the retail industry
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative to complete tasks and solve problems
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends
