Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer with expert-level experience in .NET and C# development, particularly in building robust backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with healthcare data interchange formats, including HL7 and FHIR, which are highly desirable for integration into our healthcare-focused applications. This role requires a deep understanding of backend technologies and best practices, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and compliant software solutions

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop backend services and APIs using .NET and C#. Lead the integration of backend systems with external services and applications via APIs. Ensure high performance and responsiveness of all backend functions. Implement secure data handling, validation, and transmission practices. Work closely with front-end developers and other team members to meet system requirements. Spearhead the adoption and implementation of HL7 and FHIR standards within the company’s ecosystem. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. Optimize existing systems for scalability and speed. Manage database design and querying with an emphasis on performance and security. Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure robust and error-free deployment. Document development processes and adhere to industry best practices in software development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred. Previous professional experience in backend software development with expertise in .NET and C#. Proven experience designing and implementing APIs. Strong understanding of the .NET ecosystem, OOP principles, and multi-threading. Experience with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare industry data exchange standards is highly desirable. Proficiency in databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and performing complex queries. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication and project management skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Knowledge of additional backend technologies and frameworks. Prior experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Experience in a lead or senior developer role managing or guiding a team. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
