Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Engineering team as a Civil Engineer in our fantastic Belfast office - as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. In this role, you will work alongside our project managers and lead design engineers to deliver the project design and delivery cycle, supporting various design stages of water and wastewater utility projects. This will include carrying out feasibility studies, reference designs, detailed designs and preparation of reports and technical specifications. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to be part of a talented, diverse team committed to innovation and efficiency.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Deliver: You will develop AutoCAD design packages for wastewater treatment plant upgrades, ensuring CDM compliance throughout design and construction. Producing feasibility studies including financial and non-financial comparisons. 
  • Support: Assist in the management of FIDIC / NEC contracts and with financial project management including regular invoicing, early warning and change controls.
  • Ensure Quality: Review and verify flow and load calculations, technical reports, drawings, and models to ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Collaborate: Liaise and work closely with other AECOM employees in process, mechanical, environmental, geotechnical, and structural teams.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Civil Engineering degree qualified.
  • Have experienced in compiling reports.
  • Have knowledge of the science of wastewater treatment processes.
  • Have some experience in working on the design and management of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure upgrade schemes.
