General Description ofJob:

Todeliver high quality Maintenance /Instruction on specific Militaryunderwater engineering equipment in line with Company standards andcontractual requirements. To ensurethey:

  • Ensurethat they work in an effective collaborative manner with MoD staff,displaying the appropriate behavioursalways.

MainTasks:

  • To beresponsible for the maintenance of the equipment within their areaof responsibility to standard laid down in the Planned MaintenanceSchedules (PMS), to record the maintenance carried out, report alldefects, material shortcomings and design deficiencies asappropriate.
  • To be responsible for thereplacement, issue, storage, return and defect repair on allequipment within their area ofresponsibility.
  • To instruct maintenance inaccordance with relevant Instructional Specifications on theirprimary subject.
  • To assist Lead Instructor inupdating training documentation, related to their primary subject,to reflect equipment maintenance.
  • To instructcourses, iaw ISpec, for which SQEP is held, as directed by LeadInstructor.
  • To gain and maintain both technicaland instructional qualification and experience in secondarysubjects as directed by Line Management.
  • Togain and maintain instructional & technical SQEP inaccordance with company guidelines andpolicy.
  • To be custodian of Articles in Useaccount and maintain their account iaw with latestinstructions
  • Deliver briefings to staff ortrainees as required by Line Management.
  • Ensurethat the maintenance of all Team Fisher (DDS) Training Equipment iscarried out to enable equipment performance standards to be met andthe training programme maintained.
  • Record theimplementation of equipment maintenance on existing systems, toensure performance is maintained in accordance with manufacturestechnical guidance.
  • To ensure Company health,safety and environmental procedures are always implemented andcomplied with for all employees andtrainees.

Technical Experience andQualifications

  • Previousexperience of servicingmechanical/electrical equipment in amarine and/or military environment.
  • Previousexperience of fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical orelectrical equipment.
  • Maintenance of underwatertools (cutting/welding, grinding etc)
  • Level 4Teaching Qualification.
  • ECDL or equivalentdemonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within theworkplace
