Support SME to deliver a cost-effective programme that mitigates risk and ensures compliance with laws / regulations. Understanding the long-term compliance strategy and regulatory environment Working with the business to develop process for operating within the guidance provided by Legal. Be the ambassador for Asda for health, safety & environment. Horizon scan for new and emerging risks related to health, safety & environmental matters. Analyse data from continuous improvement reviews of each subject area to identify risks/issues. Assist SME with leading the development of cross-functional, multi-program efforts to identify the risks and implement cost-effective risk mitigation strategies. Support/Lead serious investigations.

Be comfortable in developing training materials for all levels in Asda and communicate the plans to relevant stake holders with the expected accountabilities. Be able to analyse data from accidents, incidents, customer complaints, social media, external bodies, and other companies to develop improvements to the programmes. Influencing the design standards for model stores, layout and equipment to minimise health, safety & environmental risks. Be able to provide suitable measures to ensure continuous improvement against the six-compliance building blocks. Be able to communicate with external bodies (e.g. Enforcement Agencies, National Regulators, Primary Authorities etc) to steer external policy. Strong communication skills with internal customers such as key stake holders and Trade Unions
