MainPurpose of Job
We are looking fora personable and committed individual to provide a comprehensiverange of project activities that benefits young people localschools and the wider community in the London borough of Hounslow& Ealing.
The Senior CoordinatorEducation Programmes will lead and develop our key secondary schooldelivery. You will be responsible for designing and developingsessions and activities that will have the largest impact on youngpeople. These programmes focus on young people who face significantbarriers to learning. You will work closely with colleagues in theEducation Team to achieve shared goals and will directly linemanage one staff member.
Part of this role willbe focused on content development but it will also require activedelivery on the programmes. Along with other members of the teamyou will also have a small caseload of young people to mentor.
This role will support the followingprogrammes;
- Premier League Inspiresweekly lessons designed for students who face barriers to learningwhich prevent them from achieving their potential. Delivery will bein local Schools Pupil Referral Units and from our CommunityStadium Hub.
- Focus 30 weekly intervention tosupport secondary students on the cusp of exclusion and strugglingto manage their own behavior in school. Both classroom andpractical elements using sport as a motivational tool.
- Mentoring weekly 1:1 sessions for children& young people in care at the edge of care or thoseassociated with external partner agencies such as Youth JusticeService & NHS. Supporting with managing challengingbehaviours social emotional needs and identifying strategies tohelp move forward.
- Short Breaks termly afterschool club & holiday projects for Primary &Secondary children withSEND
GeneralResponsibilities
- Take alead on the development and delivery of the Premier League Inspiresand Focus30 Programmes.
- Responsible fordesigning and developing a highquality programme curriculumtimetables and session plans with clear learning objectives andachievable outcomes.
- Establish maintain anddevelop effective partnership working with stakeholders includingrelevant external agencies and organisations (e.g Schools PremierLeague Charitable Fund; LB Hounslow)
- Completeall monitoring and evaluation using internal systems (Salesforce;Views) in line with Premier League and other funder requirements;including monthly updates to Senior ManagerEducation.
- Maintain accurate records asappropriate for each project including Risk Assessments RegistersSession Logs Reports & case studies (highlighting thebenefit of the project); tracking progression and demonstratingclear impact & outcomes.
- Regularlyquality assure and reflect on all programme activity adaptingcontent where necessary to maintain high levels of young peopleengagement and school partnerships.
- Supportyoung people to access other internal and external programmes inline with their needs and interests working alongside colleagues toprovide positive pathways.
- Line manage anddevelop the Programme Coordinator
- Ensure thatall delivery for which you are responsible complies with allBrentford FC CST health and safety and safeguardingrequirements
- Support with any other projects inline with department funding requirements as directed by SeniorManager Education.
- Attend all scheduledsupervision meetings and training events as directed by LineManager.
1:1 MentoringResponsibilities
- Liaise with SeniorCoordinator Mentoring & Safeguarding Team to risk assesscases prior to start.
- Meet with the youngperson and codesign a Personal Development Plan (PDP) based aroundGoal Based Outcomes.
- Deliver mental wellbeingsupport for young people and manage a caseload providing support atsuitable times for the referral either face to face orvirtually.
Safeguarding:
- Participatein training sessions related to safeguarding and emergencyresponse.
- Report any safeguarding concernspromptly to the appropriate authorities or designatedpersonnel.
- Maintain accurate records ofincidents concerns and actionstaken.
- Collaborate with other team members anddepartments to create a cohesive approach tosafeguarding.
- Coordinate with relevantauthorities and emergency services asnecessary.
- Stay informed about safeguardingpolicies procedures and bestpractices.
