Construction Manager (Specializing in Architectural and Structural Steel) Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager with expertise in architectural and structural steel to oversee and manage construction projects within our organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring project success by coordinating and supervising all phases of construction, particularly in relation to architectural and structural steel elements. Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Take full responsibility for the successful completion of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  •  Architectural and Structural Steel Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural and structural steel aspects of construction, including planning, fabrication, installation, and quality control.
  •  Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate project teams, including subcontractors, ensuring productive collaboration and adherence to safety protocols.. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, especially those related to architectural and structural steel.
  •  Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure architectural and structural steel elements meet design specifications and quality benchmarks.
  •  Collaboration: Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of architectural and structural steel elements into overall project design.
  •  Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and communicate project updates to key stakeholders.
  •  Health and Safety: Promote and enforce adherence to health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all construction personnel.
 Requirements:
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in construction project management, with a focus on architectural and structural steel.
  •  Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of architectural and structural steel construction processes, including fabrication techniques, welding, and installation methodologies.. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  •  Problem Solving: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve construction-related challenges effectively.
  •  Project Management: Sound understanding of project management methodologies and tools, with experience managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  •  Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices within the construction industry, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in construction project management software and industry-standard tools is an advantage.
Office based - Visiting sites when needed.
