Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a ward clerk to join ward MAU. This is a busy triage area which is an emergency portal for pregnant women and women in the immediate postnatal period

We are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills and teamworking ability. You will join a friendly and cohesive team of midwives, maternity support workers and the medical workforce.

Main duties of the job

Role Summary

The post holder will be responsible for daily up keep of Careflow and will also have access to K2 maternity system. The post holder will provide administration services to the medical and midwifery workforce as well as providing reception cover. The post holder will be expected to work on their own initiative in accordance with management requirements and will be responsible for the standard of their own work. The nature of the work requires someone who is aware of patient confidentially, trustworthy and with the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all staff and the public.

All aspects of the work must be carried out in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures in respect of maintaining patient confidentiality and Health & Safety.
