Exciting Opportunity for a Full-Time Early Years Practitioner in Plymouth

If so, this could be the perfect role for you We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join our welcoming primary school community in Plymouth.

The Role:

  • Position: Early Years Practitioner (Full Time)
  • Hours: 6.5 hours per day, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Potential to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an essential role in helping young learners grow and develop in a positive and engaging environment. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Learning Activities: Assisting with play-based and structured activities that encourage children’s curiosity and support key areas of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Encouraging Social and Emotional Development: Helping to create a warm, inclusive environment where children can thrive socially and emotionally.
  • Developing Communication Skills: Engaging with children to build vocabulary, listening skills, and confidence in expressing themselves.
  • Supporting Physical Development: Assisting with activities that enhance fine and gross motor skills, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Observing and Recording Progress: Monitoring each child’s development and sharing insights with the team to ensure tailored support for every child.
  • Providing Personal Care: Assisting with personal care needs to ensure children feel safe, comfortable, and supported.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (required)
  • Experience in an educational or early years setting
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new one
