Job summary

Are you an experienced decontamination lead?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced decontamination lead to join our organisation. In this role you will be a visible senior leader providing expert decontamination advice to ESNEFT.

The post holder will be influential in leading the review and update of policies, procedures and guidelines in relation to decontamination and will be a subject matter expert to our sterile services function.

The role will involve travel between our various sites across East Suffolk and North Essex.

This position is full time, however part time hours could be considered.

Main duties of the job

To be overall responsible for managing the decontamination of medical device service and to ensure that departmental policies/procedures are updated as required and are adhered to by staff.

Advise and guide staff and colleagues; on matters of decontamination practice and the interpretation of National and ESNEFT Trust policies and guidelines.

Provide expert advice in respect of the specialty to staff throughout the Trust.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

Proven experience of working in a management/leadership role Leading service changes to improve performance. Responsible for a budget and budget setting Identifying and interpreting national policy and implementing required changes Business case development and annual planning, longer term planning Ability to demonstrate an expert technical understanding of compliant decontamination processes and equipment. Experience of auditing, compliance standards and working knowledge of equipment testing and verification Demonstration of active participation in gaining/maintaining ISO9001/ISO 13485 accreditation

Leading a QI project

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to master's level or equivalent experience. Management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience at post graduate level Evidence of continued professional development Further relevant training

Financial procedures including budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes. Business planning /annual planning/long term planning In depth understanding of change management Able to use IT systems including Microsoft Office Good understanding of the current NHS agenda and healthcare policy Knowledge of service improvements/transformation and project management Risk management and governance
