Area Manager

We're looking for an experienced Area Manager to join our Transportation team in Weatherhill depot to manage both internal and external operations, overseeing the day-to-day functions of the routine maintenance, reactive works and small works schemes, ensuring a high level of service is maintained throughout.

Location: Weatherhill depot, Surrey

Contract: Permanent, full time

Salary: £52k - £57k + company car + private healthcare + benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As an Area Manager, you'll work closely with all other teams, to ensure operational effectiveness for severe weather service, cyclical and reactive maintenance tasks and emergency response..

Your day to day will include:

• Ensuring that the delivery of routine and reactive maintenance, cyclic maintenance and resilience works is carried out to achieve programme and budgetary requirements 
• Working with National Highways SDMs to acheive collaborative working on all aspects of the maintenance and reactive contract 
• Managing the emergency response, organising reactive repairs and meeting contractual requirements
• Taking an active role in assisting the regional hub, contractors, local authorities and police in the administration of works on the network to alleviate congestion due to road works

What are we looking for?

This role of Area Manager is great for you if:

• Managerial experience in a similar role / industry with effective organisational and time management skills 
• SMSTS / ILM management qualification or equivalent
• Drive and hold a full driving licence to visit different depots and offices
