BAM are looking for a commercial smart finance apprentice to join our team based in the Camberley office.  This is an opportunity to join a multi-million pound construction business and build solid foundations gaining  knowledge in different aspects of finance and extended business operations.   Alongside the supportive work place training you will also work towards a Level 3 Assistant Account apprenticeship and AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting 

 

Your mission

​​​​​​On this apprenticeship you will learn to take on duties such as;

 

  • Assist with the preparation of project reports.
  • Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assist with application for payments and collection of cash.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Support in the provision of management information to the management teams
  • Support of other finance team members maintaining a strong internal controls position
  • Support Project Managers in resolution of routine queries
  • Effective management of Working Capital within the Business Unit
  • Activities to support work winning or delivery of the area’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Work closely with commercial peers to improve efficiencies and add value to various civil engineering projects.

  • Collaboration & Partnering -  Acknowledge different priorities between functions. Build relationships to build credibility.

 

Qualifications - Grade 4 or above in Maths and English would be desirable for this apprenitceship
