Job summary

A post has become available within our Emergency Department for an Emergency Practitioner here at County Hospital. The post holder will predominately be training to work with minor injured/minor illness patients but as a senior emergency nurse/ACP the flexibility to work in triage / ambulatory or majors to support the team is vital.

Main duties of the job

You will be supported to gain clinical health assessment and minor injury skills for both adults and paediatrics. The successful candidate will support the workforce integration into the new UTC once this is up and running.

Able to prove competency in minor injury treatments ED experience for at least 3 years

Desirable

Minor illness exposure / competency sign off

NMC registration

Proof of NMC / professional body registration

Academic study

Essential

degree / equivalent or working towards Academic study specifically covering Minor injury

Health Assessment Level 6/7

Acute nursing experience
