A great opportunity for the role of Procurement Vehicle Lead has arisen within the Purchasing Department at Triumph Motorcycles, the UK’s largest motorcycles manufacturer and global leading heritage brand.
The Procurement Vehicle Lead will project manage specific bike platforms, liaising with Product Planning, Engineering Platform Leads, Project Management Office and Procurement to develop platform strategies and ensure the delivery of all Procurement activities on new bike programmes on time.
Through working cross functionally, they will develop timing plans and sourcing initiatives with the aim of:
Supporting on time delivery of new bike programmes within their platform group. Ensure those plans support maintaining and building on our high quality standards. Reduce development lead-times of new model parts Deliver programmes to budget for BOM cost and investment Facilitate bringing new market technologies to our products expedientlyThrough their work they will ensure cross functional collaboration with product, design and QC teams to arrive at balanced/considered outcomes. One team philosophy.
They will work with the Commodity Team in the UK, India and Thailand as well as the wider product, design and QC functions and Procurement within the Project Teams. Where appropriate they will escalate issues in a timely way to ensure deliverables are met.
