We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Advisor for a well-established local insurance broker based in Shrewsbury. This position is temporary with an immediate start, the business is recruiting throughout so there is permanent opportunities for the right candidate.

The role of the Claims Advisor

• Taking details when a customer reports a claim issue
• Giving advice on the claims process
• Checking insurance claims
• Making sure premiums have been paid and that policies cover the claim
• Gathering information like receipts, photographs or valuations
• Liaising with clients, taking information on the nature of the claim and details of their policy
• Passing information on to other colleagues and professionals including claims investigators and underwriters
• Updating computer and paper records with details of the claim

The ideal Claims Advisor will have

• Previous experience handling commercial or agricultural Insurance Claims is essential
• Driving Licence is desirable due to office location
• Effective communication skills is essential
