Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: High peak, Derbyshire

Payrate: £75 to £90 per day
Start Date: September 2024 (Full-time, Permanent role)

Start and End times: 8:30am to 4:20pm (20 mins for lunch and 3:50 pm finish on Fridays = 37 hours per week)

GSL Education is seeking inspiring and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our client primary schools in High peak, Derbyshire.

The main duties as a Teaching Assistant will include:

• Supporting the pupils in their education
• Have the ability to adapt to teaching at different settings and be flexible with their work
• Supporting and managing behaviour
• Working with the class teacher to implement interventions
• Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
• Using formative and summative assessment
• Assessing phonics following the school’s chosen program
• Promoting independence with life skills
• Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

 
The ideal candidate will:

• Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
• A fully checkable work history
• Must have a driving license.
• Must have business use of their insurance and be committed for long term.
• Candidate must be in good mental and physical health and also must be a resilient and reliable individual.

• Be excellent team players and punctual

• Must be able to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment.
