Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Pay: £84-110 daily rate

Application end date: 17/05/24

Key Responsibilities as a HLTA:

  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons, tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Able to cover the classroom in the absence of the Teacher.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, as well as small group interventions.

Requirements:

  • Must be qualified as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
  • Local to the Teesside area.
  • Driver (preferred)
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Prior experience in the classroom is preferred but not required.
  • Have a passion for education to ensure pupils are supported in an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Organised and experience of creating resources to use in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
