Job summary

This is a brand new role in a new organisational structure.

You will work closely with and be fully supported by the highly experienced East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership (ESPCP) management team (may also be referred to as the East Staffordshire Primary Care Network ( ESPCN) management team, to turn around a failed GMS contract creating a successful primary care service provider under new systems and structure.

You will be a team player, energetic, be innovative and adaptable and able to embrace and create a collaborative, organic new team ethos.

Although the overarching accountability and management of the contract sits with the ESPCP management team, you are responsible for the day to day running of the business and finances. You will have overarching line management and will coordinate all aspects of the organisations business functionality.

Your focus will be on financial and business management but will also include, motivating and managing staff, with a focus on optimising efficiency and financial performance.

You will work with the ESPCP team and the practice staff to implement Quality and Outcomes framework, Quality Improvement Framework, Direct Enhances Services and Local Enhanced Services, Universal offer and other elements of practice income and expenditure. Which in turn will reward the practice for providing improved quality of care and maximise practice income and resilience.

Main duties of the job

In conjunction with the oversight, advice and guidance from the ESPCP team you will oversee the financial and business needs of the practice through day-to-day operations.

Ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities in line with organisational responsibilities whilst optimising care and that income is maximised and expenditure is correctly monitored to ensure we have a financially resilient practice

To act as main point of contact for the NHSE, ICB, Community services, suppliers and other stakeholders

To initiate and partake in audit procedures to ensure we deliver a safe and caring service to our population

About us

On the 7th May 2024, East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership were awarded a caretaker contract for the service provision of Gordon Street Surgery. More commonly known as East Staffordshire PCN which sits under the legal entity of East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership Ltd (ESPCP) offering authorised NHS employment and delivering NHS services.

ESPCN comprises a network of 18 GP practices across East Staffordshire with a population of 150,000 patients.

The management team has extensive experience of Executive Leadership, commercial, finance and management support, practice management, specialised digital and IT, HR and recruitment
