Role Summary
The post holder will be an integral part of the Theatre team, actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under supervision of the Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner. The post holder will develop essential competencies through training and practice to ensure safety and quality are priority.

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Would you like a job where no two days are the same? We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, reliable and compassionate Theatre Support Worker to join our team.
You will see a wide range of surgical patients visiting our Department and therefore you must possess a flexible working attitude, be able to cope under pressure and have a real team ethic.
As part of the Theatre team, you will deliver a high standard of patient care within the Operating Theatre and Recovery area. This post includes a commitment to work: days, nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays, where applicable to the service.
For new entrants to the NHS, this will be a Band 2 role working towards competencies for the Band 3 role.
Applications from Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers are welcome as this could be an opportunity to join the Pathway.
Working hours per week, over 4 days.
