Job summary

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic person to join our team on Marlowe. We have a 2 full time, Band 5, Staff Nurse Maternity Cover vacancy covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

One is for 11 months and the other is for 9 months.

Our shifts are long days (07:30-20:00), Nights (19:30-08:00),

Early (07:30-15:30) and Late (12:30-20:00). (Flexible working requests can be considered.)

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include;

Acting as the identified nurse for a group of patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their care. Providing personal care to patients including pressure sore prevention, toileting and catheter care. Taking and electronically recording patient's vital signs and blood glucose and acting upon the results. Carrying out and documenting patient risk assessments and implementing measure to reduce risk and keep patients safe. Administering medications via various routes. Supporting and supervising junior members of staff in giving high standards of care. Liaising with the multidisciplinary team. Participating in planning timely and safe discharges.
