Trouw Nutrition is a global leader in Animal Nutrition with divisions across the world and has been based at our current site in the UK for over 150 years. We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral part of our Finance team here in Ashbourne.

We are looking for a Finance Apprentice who will have a high level of numeracy, excellent time management and organisational skills, and can communicate at all levels in the organisation.  Initially focusing mainly within the Purchase Ledger department, the role will grow to encompass all the aspects of the finance department.  The ideal candidate would have a passion for learning all things finance and want to start and progress their career in a fast-paced environment. 

The candidate

No previous experience is required to apply, but the ideal candidate will have:

  • An interest in accounting and finance
  • The commitment to completing a formal Apprenticeship Programme provided by the company through studying for your AAT qualifications with the option of continuing towards becoming a qualified accountant.
  • 5 GCSE’s with grades 4-9 (A*-C) including Maths and English
  • 3 A levels
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills and taking on new responsibilities
  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft applications

Training

You will study towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 under an apprenticeship, building not only on your technical skills, but also on your personal and professional development.  Continued career progression is supported with a view for further study towards level 4, with either AAT, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
