Quality Assurance Administrator

The Quality Assurance Administrator will support and report directly to the Head of SHEQ in all aspects of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies. They will support with the development and monitoring the existing EQMS, in particular all procedures and company documents, supply chain management, H&S training and legal register.
The role would suit somebody with experience in a similar role who has a desire to progress.
Key responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Administrator (but not limited to):
• To develop, maintain, continuously monitor and improve the EQMS (Quality & Environmental,Health and safety standards).
• Communicate, train and engage colleagues, contractors and suppliers in all SHEQ matters.
• Provide support on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters.
• Conduct internal audits, reviews and assessments of policies and procedures.
• Prepare and support colleagues for external audits carried out by third parties.
• Support the Head of SHEQ to maintain the company ISO 9001, ISO 14001, LPC, SSiP, (CHAS, Constructionline, Safe Contractor & more) certificates and work towards obtaining ISO 45001certification.
• Promoting and raising awareness across all levels of the organisation, of the impacts of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental issues, in terms of legal and statutory compliance and voluntary compliance, including CDM regulations.
• Support the Head of SHEQ with investigating all safety and environmental accidents, incidents or near misses. Identify the root causes, promote the lessons learned and implement changes to policies and procedures if required.
• Support the wider team & subcontractors with the creation and management of risk assessments and method statements to ensure safety and compliance for all work carried out for clients.
• Managing client feedback and analysing the data and report findings to Head of H&S and Directors.
• Raising, reporting and progress of non-conformances identified in a timely manner.
• COSHH Assessments
• Fully manage supply chain (including completing PQQ's for the business).
• Maintain asset register including arranging for all testing, inspection and calibration.
Skill & Competency Requirements of the Quality Assurance Administrator:
• Knowledge and understanding of legal regulations relating to Health & Safety, Quality and Environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001, LPS 1014
• Previous experience in a similar role
• A high level of confidentiality
• A proactive approach to finding solutions
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
• To enjoy working with people.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, both in person and via the telephone with high levels of tact and diplomacy.
• Good administrative skills.
