Job Role:Automation Engineer

Location:Silicon Valley CA (Onsite) 5 days work fromOffice

Objective:

  • Create new Command Line OS and web software tools forrestore kickoff status triage and reporting purposes.
  • Designing and writing onthefly automated stress andstability hardwarecentric software tests for embeddedsystems.
  • Maintaining existing test andreporting software that scales to support 1000s of devices dailywith minimal lab downtime.
  • Identify reproduceand isolate bugs found via debugging and performance analysistools.
  • Report issues in accordance with Applebug reporting methods and testing guidelines.

Must haveSkills:

  • Minimum 5 years ofexperience in automation development in HW/SW testengineering.
  • Experience developing softwareautomation of lowlevel and userlevel UI in scripting languages suchas Python Ruby Swift or JavaScript.
  • Experiencewith web and database technologies such as Tableau MySQL PHP jQueryHTML5 CSS.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix and Unixshell scripting.
  • Strong communication writtenskills and interpersonal skills (required to establish and maintaininterdepartmental relationships).

Preferred:

  • Ability to solve hardware systems to componentlevel and perform rootcause analysis.
  • Experience with developing webbased automation frameworksas well as database design.
  • Experience writingOS X or iOS applications.
  • Experience intesting HW.
  • Experience in building datavisualization.

Success Criteria/Definition ofDone:

  • All assignedsoftware tasks are completed and validated by our internal andindependent QA process.
  • All assigned radars inthe queue are performed in a timely manner.
  • All assigned software work follows a common softwaredevelopment process including but not limited to pull requests unittests radar updates etc. All updates are timely clear concise andaccurate.
  • Communication with the team is cleareffective and timely.
