Overview: 

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and strategic Product Manager to oversee the Immerse Education website. This individual will ensure the web experience is delightful for our customers, optimise the site for conversion, and ensure high performance across any geographic location. The role includes managing our developers, and reports into the Head of Growth Marketing, while liaising with the entire team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in product management, technical expertise, and a passion for creating exceptional digital experiences in education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Roadmap Management: Develop and manage the product roadmap for the website, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Balance technical debt, enhancements, and new features while setting priorities and delivery timelines. Employ agile development practices for timely and efficient updates. Manage stakeholder expectations by considering diverse priorities to set realistic delivery dates.
  • Web Experience Optimisation: Implement strategies to enhance the web experience for students, parents, educators, partners, and prospective hires, ensuring ease of use and engagement. Oversee engagement metrics like time on site and pages per session to inform improvements.
  • Conversion Optimisation: Analyse customer behaviour to optimise the website for conversions, enhancing the journey from landing to enrolment. Ensure accurate event tracking for proper lead attribution and comprehensive customer data capture in the CRM. Continuously track and improve conversion rates through A/B testing and refinement of the user journey.
  • Performance Management: Ensure the website performs well across all geographic locations, addressing technical issues promptly. Monitor page load times and technical performance metrics to maintain optimal site speed and reliability.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and collaborate with offshore developers, fostering an innovative and collaborative culture. Ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards. Conduct virtual onboarding and regular training to keep the team updated on best practices and developments.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with Growth and Brand Marketing teams to align website updates with marketing strategies. Coordinate with Academic and Programme Delivery teams to ensure accurate and compelling programme content, manage inventory effectively, and provide insights on customer traffic and engagement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise analytics tools to monitor website performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions. Build dashboards to visualise key metrics and uncover customer insights for continuous improvement.
  • User Research and Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing and user research to gather insights from parents and students. Implement findings to enhance the website's user experience and meet customer needs effectively.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Stay updated with the latest web development and UX/UI best practices, ensuring the website remains modern and user-friendly. Apply product management frameworks to guide development and optimisation efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in product management roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position within a high-performing team. Proven track record in managing and optimising websites, particularly within the education sector or similar markets.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in web development technologies, analytics tools, and performance optimisation. Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Best Practices Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern product management frameworks, UX/UI principles, conversion rate optimisation, and web performance best practices.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and foster a product-led culture. Inspire and guide teams to uphold high performance standards and achieve project goals. Exhibit cultural competency and experience working with diverse, international stakeholders.
