We are expanding and with more work comes more opportunities.
As a train driver, you will have the opportunity to work on various locomotives: from our class 37s to state of art class 70s. You will be a key player to run our Freight services in the LNE region. You will be empowered to ensure a safe and reliable service operation of freight trains as a role model Train Driver offering a best in class service.
In your role, you will work with rostering and training teams, driver standards managers, delivery managers, and staff at all levels so that freight services could run safety, and on time.
Person Specification
You will have:
- Train Driver Experience with LNE, ECML and/or North Eastern route knowledge
- Ensure safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
- A clean safety record
- A current PTS (third rail) appropriate to CTRL
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility with working shift patterns.
- Ability to identify competency standards required as a result of legislation, operational standards and safety procedures and maintain same by audit and surveillance
