Job Purpose Product Manager forBirdbox an integrated farm management system for laying henfarms.

FAI is looking for aBirdbox Product Manager with knowledgeand experience in digital product development to manage Birdbox apoultry farm management system utilising automated sensors andfarmer codesigned software to optimise daily farm management anddeliver improved productivity animal welfare and sustainability inthe poultry industry.

The successful applicantwill have experience working in the agritechnology sector and willjoin the team on a permanent basis. The role sits within FAIsBirdbox Product Development team and wll work alongside an existingaccount management and technical team to help develop and expandsales of FAIs Birdbox poultry farm managementsystem.

We are looking for an adaptableselfstarter able to work under their own initiative as part of anexpanding and diverse team. You must be a collaborative problemsolver with a sound understanding of product development andproject management.

The successful candidateshould be prepared to work with a range of international clientsacross different time zones this may mena working outside ofstandard hours at certain times.

FAI BirdBoxis a poultry farm management tool that utilises automated sensorsfor realtime insights. The digital flockbook and inshed hardwarecollate analyse and report critical flock information to supportdaily farm management and deliver better productivity animalwelfare and sustainability in the poultryindustry.

FAI Insiteis an innovative tool that allows food industry actors toefficiently and accurately collect monitor and report key foodanimal welfare and sustainability metrics across global supplychains. Data is analysed by FAIs team of experts to provideintuitive dashboards and reporting outputs that deliver keytailored insights enabling identification of risks andopportunities for strategic action to drive food systemimprovement.

FAI Academy &Enterprise Elearning is online agri and aquaculturelearning through a dedicated cloudbased training platformEnterprise and an academy website FAI Academy. We design and hostcourses that are tailored to specific audiences meet the needs ofdiverse learners are accessible and easy to navigate and use avariety of assessment techniques per learning objective. Keycourses include 1) Regenerative Farming and 2) the welfare oftilapia carp andshrimp.

Requirements

KeySkills/Experience

  • Productmanagement and development experience ideally in agritechnologysector
  • Track record of developing products ofstrategic significance
  • Budgeting planning andproject management experience
  • Commercialexperience including conducting negotiations client support andsuppliermanagement

  • Tenaciousand organised selfstarter able to work independently and as part ofa team
  • Ability to work autonomously with a highdegree of initative
  • Strong communicationsskills
  • Comfortable with working remotely andwith colleaues in a variety of internationallocations
  • Languages: English requiredadditional languages would bebeneficial

DesirableQualifications

  • Backgroundin technology or agriculture/aquaculture and the food supply chainis an advantage
  • Educated to at least degreelevel

  • Location: Must be UK basedwith current right to work in the UK. This is a remote homebasedrole with travel to client meetings within the UK. Someinternational travel for client and team meetings may berequired.
