Devanta is excited to collaborate with a leading bank on their search for a Senior Configuration Analyst. This key role is integral to the Financial Messaging Services team within the Digital Platforms division of Technology.About the Team: The Financial Messaging Services team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the bank’s SWIFT product estate, which underpins critical financial services within the Banking, Payments, and Financial Resilience directorate.About the Role: As a Senior Configuration Analyst, you will join the Financial Messaging Services team to support and configure third-party applications and hardware, primarily products provided by SWIFT. This role requires extensive experience in configuring and supporting SWIFT products.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership for the development and support of SWIFT services.
  • Support the bank’s production and UAT financial messaging systems.
  • Monitor performance and ensure full and rapid problem resolution for operational Live and UAT financial messaging systems.
  • Deliver high-quality software components and documentation in line with FMS guidelines and standards.
  • Coordinate operational activities such as failover and backup tests, pen test response/remediation, audit actions, and security reviews.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to incidents, requests, and problems.
  • Triage calls to assess impact and urgency, determining priority.
  • Proactively manage major/significant IT incidents.
  • Seek out system improvements to reduce support calls and enhance service delivery.
  • Implement process changes that improve team performance against Technology’s SLA.
  • Empower first-line colleagues and the business to resolve incidents and requests earlier in the lifecycle.

Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrable specialist experience with the following SWIFT products: Alliance Connect, Alliance Gateway, Alliance Web Platform, SWIFT Alliance Messaging Hub, HSM, and Transaction Delivery Agent.
  • Ability to engage confidently and effectively with senior stakeholders, both business and technical.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate requirements into low-level technical designs.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create concise, informative technical documentation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively prioritize workload.
  • High level of professionalism, organization, and self-motivation.
  • Understanding of good team practice and the ability to share knowledge/experience when appropriate.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to interpret and present information to various recipients.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Technical experience with the following products: SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Security Officer and O2M, IBM MQ Client, and both Windows and Linux operating systems.
